Watch Eva’s interview with Alberto Brambilla at the Milan WOW Spazio Fumetto on Corriere dei Piccoli
Thanks to Prof. Matteo Stefanelli, one of the members of my Doctoral Advisory Committee, I got in contact with Alberto Brambilla, comic scholar, blogger and collaborator at the WOW Spazio Fumetto in Milan. Alberto walked me through their exposition celebrating the 110th birthday of Corriere dei Piccoli (CdP) and revealed how he found out which original Buster Brown strip was ‘italianized’ on the 28 December 1908 cover of the CdP . He went over different important illustrators and authors (Mussino, Rubino, Bisi and Buzzati) before the 1950s and focused mainly on children, because they are key to my/our research. The interview is in Italian but I have tried to include some information in English as well.
