Sofie Vandepitte is doing a joint doctoral degree at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven/Universiteit Gent, as part of a project on Belgian children’s magazines published between 1919-1949. From November 2021 to October 2024, she served as pedagogical assistant in the Department of Linguistics and Literary Studies at Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Her research interests include the periodical press, comic illustration, and gender-oriented literary analysis.
